One hundred air miles from the border, the federal government claims the authority to question citizens and demand their “papers”. This includes the border of the entire continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii–north, south, east and west coasts, affecting a population of nearly 200 million Americans. This week’s show centers around the issue of warrantless, unconstitutional checkpoints. Laredo, Texas, “The Gateway City” (or Checkpoint City), is surrounded by federal agents on all sides, making the right to travel unimpeded nearly impossible. The show includes clips from around the country of average citizens standing up to tyranny, resisting DHS, CBP, and TSA checkpoints. As I traveled North to San Antonio over the weekend to attend a Ron Paul National Delegate meeting in preparation for the RNC in Tampa, I had my own run-in at a checkpoint.
