The Liberty Delegates of the Republican National Convention of 2012 held a press conference on August 30th, 2012 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum to address the injustices and voter disenfranchisement that occurred at the hands of party bosses and Mitt Romney attorneys.

Representatives from several State Delegations addressed the media and presented them with a list of grievances, chief among them the fraud perpetrated by the RNC leadership last Tuesday, August 28th 2012, on Day 2 of the convention.

The duly elected delegates of Maine were denied their rightful place in the political process during the RNC. In addition, new rules passed by the Rules Committee will destroy future grassroots efforts by allowing party bosses to hand select delegates in the future (Rule 12) and enable them to change any rule at will (Rule 16).

This press conference of Liberty Delegates and the walk-out that occurred yesterday (08.29.12) led by the Maine and Texas delegations were the “blowback” – the natural reaction to the attack by the RNC leadership.
