On today’s show, I’m joined by TOR Contributor, Danny Benavides, as we break down the news and headlines of the week.
We focus our attention on the NSA surveillance scandal and the bombshell interview delivered by NSA whistleblower Russ Tice on the Boiling Frogs podcast. Tice confirmed our suspicion that all content, not just “metadata,” is indeed being collected and stored by the NSA, and revealed the names of “high level” targets under NSA surveillance, including Barack Obama himself, while a Senator in 2004.
We discuss various reasons we believe the public remains largely unaffected and docile in the face of outrageous encroachment on their individual right to privacy and civil liberties, including the phenomenon of “predictive programming.” We also discuss the mysterious death of journalist Michael Hastings, the latest on the escalation in Syria and take many of your calls.
